THE CHILD GUIDANCE CENTER PROVIDES:
FAMILY THERAPY: The whole family or part of the family is seen so that everyone can express their feelings and ideas, looking for solutions under the direction of one or more professionals.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: The child is seen alone with the goal of helping him/her learn how to relate to others better and to understand himself/herself better. Parents may also be seen individually or as a couple to work on their own problems, as these affect the child.
GROUP THERAPY: Same age children or adolescents from different families are seen together, so that they can discuss their feelings and ideas about themselves and each other, and learn how to function more effectively. Usually, the parents of these children attend a parents' group at the same time, where they can discuss the problems of being a parent.
PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATION SERVICES: Psychiatric evaluation and medication follow-up are available for children and adolescents when indicated.
